Interesting point of view. I'm at the other end of the spectrum: I use Linux and Windows, and open up the Mac whenever I need some to do some light video editing (which is about the only thing that the Mac still has an edge on).

When I get Adobe Premiere for Windows (or if Linux video editing suites suddenly stop sucking), I won't even need to ever use the Mac again.

Everyone uses the OS they prefer, and that's fine - it's a big world, we can coexist!

I'm a stickler for quality, though - an audiophile and videophile. I can't imaging shelling out 4 grand for a mid-range laptop with a bargain basement videocard, and no real line-in port, and what has to be the absolutely, positively worst USB drive support in the history of computing.

Who knows, maybe one day Apple will truly be ready or Linux will screw up (impossible since no one really controls or owns it...), and I'll switch back. ;)

Until then... well, my Apple laptop makes a fine, fine internet tablet. Anything more than that, though, and it's a coaster.
